Product Review: Honeywell Noodles

Honeywell has just launched a new pack for it's range of noodles​ and I have gotten my hands on it. The new pack comes in a white pack with a twinge off egg yoke color. I like the new pack because every time I see it, noodles and boiled egg comes to mind. It weighs 70 grams and has a retail price of N30. Availability is not nationwide as I had to visit mall thrice before I could finally lay my hands on it. The noodles still maintains the chicken flavour which I really like. While cooking,the chicken flavour permeated the whole kitchen whetting my appetite and preparing me for what was to come. I also like the style in with which the spices are packaged, the chilli and the spices are mixed in one sachet and I like that. On the other hand, omo the noodles small ohh, I had to eat 5 packs to really enjoy the noodles. Not good at all. But I feel it will be a great hit with families with growing kids as two packets should be enough for a child per meal. Whilst I enjoyed the noodles, spices et al, I found it a tad salty. I will also implore the brand to work on nationwide avaibility of the product. In all I find the new Honeywell Noodles pack Satisfactory.

Product Review: John Bannerman's Whiskey

John Bannerman's whiskey is a rich and delightful blended scotch whiskey. It comes in a short and thick bottle with a red seal at the cap. The design is unique with the red engravement on the bottle. It contains 70cl of premium whiskey and has 40% alcohol content. It has a smooth taste and is gentle on the palettes, however you have to be careful lest you end up tipsy and wasted eventually. You can currently get the drink at Ikeja City Mall where it's sold for at the promo price of N2,999. Regardless of how unique I find the brand, I will implore the management to work on distribution of the drink to ensure availability nationwide. I find John Bannerman's Whiskey Satisfactory and I recommend it to anyone who needs a good drink to relax, and to even use whilst hanging out with friends. Drink Responsibly.

Product Review:Malta Guinness Herb Lite

Malta Guinness Herbs Lite is a variety of malt drinks produced by Guinness Nigeria Plc. As the name implies, the malt drink is fused with herbs to give it a unique and distinct taste. It costs between N200-N250 per bottle or can. It is available in all stops and stalls nationwide. It has a beautiful design on the cans and bottles which I like, and like most malt drinks,it's best enjoyed cold. I am not much of an herbal person, heck I hate visiting my grandma because she will load you with her herbal drinks, hence I am not a big fan of this drink. I also don't like the after taste it leaves in the mouth. I don't see myself taking this drink on a date or at a party. I really don't. However I believe older people will love this drink given the herbal content and low sugar content. However it's not easy to get the drinks as it is not easily available, hence the brand should improve on availability of the product. In all I will rate the drink as Satisfactory.

Product Review: Durex Condoms

Durex is the name for a range of condoms that are made by RB PLC which is based in the United Kingdom. The Durex range includes a wide array of products which include the Durex Fetherlite,. Durex Elite and Durex Select Flavors amongst others. Prices begin from N600 depending​ on the location and variety chosen. Durex is a very strong condom, you are always guaranteed of protection. In addition, it has different flavors and fragrance that translates to an enjoyable, fun, and relaxing session. I believe the lubricant jelly is way to much which can make the session feel artificial. Comment below and tell me what you feel about Durex.

Product Review: Always Sanitary Pad

Following my review on Virony Sanitary pad, a couple of my esteemed followers and readersgot in touch and requested that I write a review on the popular sanitary pad Always. I decided to embark on another fact finding mission to understand what makes the Always Sanitary pad so special. It costs​ between N400- N500 depending on your location. A good number of my respondents admitted that over the years they have come to associate sanitary pads with Always and as such they have trust and believe in Always. It was also stated that the brand has been consistent over the years to it's customers. On the other hand, there were claims that Always gave them rashes and affected their skins. In addition to this, certain respondents found the wings too thin. It was also said that the glue beneath the pad doesn't stick as well as it used to. Furthermore, given the recent economic situation in the country, certain respondents found Always expensive as regards to other brands. In all I will implore P&G to take into consideration the current economic situation and it's effect on consumer spending. In all, I find Always Sanitary pad Satisfactory. Product Review: Bigi

Bigi soft drinks are produced in Nigeria by Rite Foods which is located in Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria. Regardless of the fact that it is regarded as a new entrant into the beverage industry in Nigeria, Bigi soft drinks have managed to carve out a niche for itself in the market. One thing I like about the brand is the wide range of flavors. Bigi soft drinks boasts of flavors like Orange,Tropical, Lemon,Cola,Apple and Bitter Lemon. I also like the low sugar content of the drinks. In addition to this, I find the bottle quite portable and chic. The retail price for the drink is N100 while a pack costs between N1,000 - N1,200 depending on the location. I implore the brand to work on its distribution to ensure nationwide avaibility of the product. In all I find Bigi soft drinks an Excellent product.

Product Review: Golden Penny Spaghetti

As an amateur cook,Golden Penny Spaghetti is my go to pasta brand. In comparism with other pasta brands, I find Golden Penny Spaghetti awesome. I like the brand because it doesn't congeal and it absorbs oil well. No matter how bad my cooking is, when I cook Golden Penny Spaghetti, I am rest assured that no matter how bad my cooking maybe, the pasta will come out well, then in the hands of expert cooks,it is simply amazing. In addition, one spaghetti can serve four people who don't eat alot, or just two servings for fully grown men like myself. A cartoon costs between N3,500 to N4,000 depending on your location while the retail price is between N220 - N260. I find Golden Penny Spaghetti an Excellent product that makes cooking pasta a delight. However I have noticed that the quantity seems to reduce while the price increases whenever the economy slumps. I implore the brand to maintain it's high level of professionalism which has endeared me and countless others to them.

Product Review: Virony Sanitary Pad

So over the weekend, I got engaged with a female friend of mine who was on her period and she praised Virony Sanitary pad. Following our conversation, I decided to carry out a survey to ascertain the effectiveness of Virony Sanitary pad. Phew, it was not easy though, I had to listen to my respondents describe the different types of flows they have. Please don't frown, I am a guy and menstruation scares me. Back to the product, it contains 30 pieces: 18 pads to be used during the day, 7 at night and 5 panty liners. I held the product and tinkered with it for a while. I like the packaging, it's so unique and efficient. I also like the mentol scent that Virony has. One thing that all my respondents agreed upon was that Virony doesn't cause rashes. Infact a couple of my respondents admitted to having sensitive skins and Virony is arguably he best pad they have ever used as they had no rashes afterwards​. Virony also trumps other brands as it is affordable in relation to the quantity offered in the pack. It costs between N800 to N1,000 depending on the location. It is cost effective for families with more female kids and even students. I will urge the brand to increase her social media awareness and branding on social media platforms. In all, based on what I have seen and my respondents, Virony Sanitary pad is an Excellent product and I recommend it to anyone who is stuck over what sanitary pad to use or switch over to. Product Review: Golden Morn

FMCG Colossus Nestle has just launched a new sachet of the popular cereal Golden Morn. It is 250g and costs between 400- 480 depending on your location. Nestle claims this sachet can be served five times, but I finished it four times, however bear in mind that I am a foodie and consume huge amounts of food. Even with the new satchet, it still has that great taste and is satisfying. I refer to it as "hold belle". I urge Nestle to work on distribution to ensure nationwide avaibility of this new sachet. I find it an Excellent product.

Product Review: Sunlight Detergent

Sunlight detergent is one detergent that I like alot.
There are two features I like  about Sunlight, first it foams alot and two it has a really nice smell!! Clothes, hands and even the environment always smell nice during and after using the detergent.
There are various packs of the product ranging from 2kg, 1kg, 900g, 500g and 250g. Prices vary depending on location. The product can be found in shops and stalls nationwide.
On the flip side, I feel the smaller packs should be made bigger to provide more value for money.

On a whole, I find the product, Excellent!!

Product Review: Hero Lager Beer

I'm a young man who likes beer whilst I am not a heavy drinker, I enjoy the occasional time out with a cold bottle of beer and and a sincitilatting side dish. Hero Lager Beer is the beer that does the magic for me.
I truly admire their marketing strategy in penetrating the Nigerian market especially the South Eastern market, it's commendable.
Another reason I like Hero Lager Beer is because it doesn't give massive hang overs after taking it. I carried out a survey and a good number of my respondents agreed that it didn't cause massive hang overs.
It is sold between N200 to N300 depending on the location.
The brand needs to work on it brand management especially it's online presence.
I find Hero Lager Beer  an  Excellent product.

Product Review: 35cl PET Coke Bottle

The 35cl PET Coke bottle is the latest product from beverages giant Coca- Cola.
Its retail price is N100. A pack of 12 bottles costs between N900 - N1,000.
Nicknamed Solo, It is portable, chic and sits comfortably in the hand. Regardless of the size, it has the same distinct taste and quality.
The new bottle is advantageous to all and sundry. Those who seek to organize parties and events will find it less stressful as regards logistics. It also removes the stress of dealing with missing bottles after the party.
It can be found in shops and stalls nationwide.
An issue with this product is that in comparison with the regular 35cl bottle, it is a bit expensive when considering a large scale event. The cost of 12 in a pack is equivalent to that of 24 in one crate.
In all, it's an innovative product which shows that Coca-Cola is aware of the current economic situation and its effect on consumer spending.
The product is Excellent.
